I. Main Factors Affecting Drying Time
1. Label Material:
Paper Labels: Dry slowly, generally requiring 2-4 hours; in humid environments, this may extend to 24 hours.
Synthetic Material Labels (e.g., PET, PVC): Dry quickly, usually within 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Metal Labels: Dry quickly, approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
2. Ambient Temperature and Humidity:
Temperature: Higher temperatures result in faster drying. For example, in hot summer conditions, drying time can be shortened to several hours; in cold winter conditions, it may extend to 24 hours.
Humidity: Lower humidity results in faster drying. In high humidity, drying time may extend to 24 hours.
3. Cleaning Method:
Water-based Cleaning Agents: Dry slowly, typically requiring 2-4 hours.
Solvent-based cleaning agents: Dry relatively quickly, approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
II. Practical methods to accelerate drying
Increase ambient temperature: Using a hot air blower or hair dryer (temperature not exceeding 100℃) can shorten drying time.
Decrease ambient humidity: Using a dehumidifier or air conditioner to reduce humidity can accelerate drying.
Increase air circulation: Open windows for ventilation or use a fan to promote moisture evaporation.
Use desiccants: Place desiccants such as silica gel near the label to absorb moisture.
III. Precautions
Avoid high temperature damage: The hot air temperature should not exceed 100℃ to avoid damaging the label.
Check label integrity: After drying, check the label for damage and replace it if necessary.
Special material treatment: Avoid using strong acid or alkali cleaning agents on metal labels to prevent corrosion.
